There are three special tropies awarded in conjunction with the Snowfields USEA Horse Trials.
"Danny" and "Figure" (pictured below) are the work of Rockland artist Nina Scott-Hansen.
The Pony Club trophy (new in 2006) is a handsome silver bowl.
"Danny" is named for Patsy O'Brien's great Welsh Cob gelding Gwyn Saethydd y Penrhyn (Danny, to his friends). It is awarded to the best-scoring Vintage (over 40) MeCTA rider at Snowfields horse trials each year. The trophy is awarded at the MeCTA Annual Dinner and goes home with the winner for the year, to be returned in time for next year's USEA event.

"Figure" is kindly sponsored by Barbara Giroux and Warren Smith, and Maine's own equine newspaper, The Horse's Maine. The sculpture was inspired by Barbara's favorite school horse and is awarded to the best-scoring MeCTA Junior (under 21) rider at Snowfields horse trials. This trophy is also awarded at the MeCA Annual Dinner, along with 8 ribbons and a special educational certificate from The Horse's Maine. This trophy goes home with the winner, to return for the next year's event.
