Physical address for the Masonic Lodge is 19 Plymouth Road in Carmel.

There will be a 50-50 raffle as a fund raiser for MeCTA.  If you win the raffle,  you split the proceeds from the raffle with MeCTA.  We all could use a little extra for entry fees, right?

Doug Payne seminar cancelled due to East Coast Storm:
So by now you have probably all seen the weather forecast. Doug Payne would have been flying through Philadelphia airport on Friday evening!
Needless to say the flight has been cancelled and we are waiting to hear from Doug when we can rebook.
We will post the new date asap and, when posted,  if all demo riders could please confirm that the new date works that would be wonderful.

MeCTA will be hosting a seminar with Doug Payne at Peppergrass Farm on Saturday January 23. Doug will be presenting the fundamentals of eventing through the use of demo riders. The seminar will be free to current MeCTA members (must be an active 2016 member). More information about Doug can be found here:

We are looking for demo riders at four levels:  Training, Novice, Beginner Novice and Green Horse OR Green Rider(equivalent of MeCTA intro/elementary levels)

Applicants must have completed at least one three phase event at the level in the past year and horse and rider must be currently in work. (given our warm winter so far – hopefully that won’t exclude too many members!!) There is no fee to be a demo rider but you must be an active MeCTA member. Please see attached application form. If you are interested in applying to be a demo rider, you'll find the application form here. Mail completed form, negative coggins within 36 months for in state horses and 12 months for out of state horses and your 2016 MeCTA membership (if you haven’t already renewed for 2016 – membership form included here) to:

Debbie Place
71 Miles Road
Newburgh, ME 04444

Please be sure to include your contact information on the form. We will notify you by phone or email (note your preference) if you are selected to be a demo rider. We hope to see many of you on the 23rd! It’s not too early to start thinking about the 2016 season!! Further details regarding timing coming soon.
