April 25, 2009 (Sat) EVENTING 101 = THE BASICS
- Designed for those new to eventing or folks who want a refresher course on competing, this clinic will provide basic information on how to prepare for and compete in an Event. The day will begin with a talk (and coffee & donuts) covering rules and basic information about what you and your horse need to event (equipment, vaccinations, conditioning, etc.), followed by practice dressage rides. After lunch (bring your own), there will be XC and stadium course walks, practice stadium rides and (if all goes well) XC practice rides. End with learning to correctly fill out an entry form!.

- Cost: $50 per participant

- Cross-country clinic on sandy soils. Elementery to Training level.
- Cost: $65 private, $45 group lessons.

- Opening date: May 1 Closing date: June 16
- A 2-day learning opportunity for MeCTA members 21 years and younger who are interested in getting more experience in eventing, Elementary through Training.
- Costs: $110 for the clinic (inlcudes 4 meals). Add $20 for weekend stabling if desired.
- Instructors: Debbie Place (Training/Novice), Anna Welch (Novice/Beginner Novice), and Sandy Porter-Bean (Beginner Novice/Elementary)
July 25&26, 2009 (Sat&Sun) Adult Riders Clinic (A.K.A. Fabulous Fossils Over Fences)
- Opening date: May 1 Closing date: July 1
- Modeled after the very popular Young Riders Clinic, the Adult Riders Clinic is a 2-day offering for riders over 21 who are interested in getting more experience in eventing. The clinic offers mounted lessons each day (Saturday and Sunday) and a lecture on Saturday. Lessons include flat work, stadium and cross-country jumping. Groups limited to 5-6 riders.
- Instructor: Debbie Place & an assistant TBA
- Cost: $200 per participant, includes weekend stabling.
(Please come Friday night to get settled in and socialize before the clinic begins Saturday!)
- Location: Hyl-Tun Farm, Starks (just 20 miles west of I-95 Waterville exit)
