Welcome to the MeCTA Classified Ads! This section is "fresh off the press", so please feel free to send your feedback and/or comments (as well as your FREE ads) to the Ad-Master.
The Categories:
By clicking on the category tab above the headline, you can access one of the four (4) categories:
HORSES - horses for sale, horses wanted
TACK/EQUIPMENT - tack & equipment for horse and rider
RIDE SHARE - Need a ride? Got extra space?
OTHER - vehicles, trailers, boarding, employment, etc.
Other categories will be added as demand warrants.
The "NOT SO FINE" Print (also known as The Rules):
You must be a MeCTA member to place an ad. You will need to submit your membership # with your ad.
ADS ARE FREE to MeCTA members!, So please, don't try to combine too many different things in one ad. Instead, submit one ad for each item or group of items. (For example: group together a bunch of tack, but please don’t include a horse, truck and trailer in the same ad.)
Ad text should be limited to 50 words.
Ads will be removed after 30 days (unless you request that it be removed before then, perhaps because your saddle has been sold and you don’t want any more calls...) Want it renewed? Please let the Ad-Master know before it expires.
Use abbreviations that make sense, such as OBRO (Or Best Reasonable Offer)
We’ll try to make a list of commonly used abbreviations to help you along (further down this page).
Submission format:
Contact information: first & last name, email, phone, your location (town)
MeCTA membership number
Heading: (choose one from the headings above)
Description: (50 words or less, please - readers prefer short descriptions)*
Photos welcome: digital jpg files only, please
Contact restrictions: (for example “don’t’ phone after 9pm” or "e-mail preferred", etc.)
*Note: For Ride-Share ads, please be sure to list the date, the event you're going to (or want to go to), where you're traveling from, and when you plan to return.

Keep in mind that your ads are handled individually by a real person (the Ad-Master, a.k.a. Debbie Hastings). Every attempt will be made to place your ad within 1-3 days. Please do check and contact us if you find any errors!
